The showing judges for the 2027 Agria Royal International Horse Show have been announced, along with some new classes and timetable changes.
The Royal International (27 July to 1 August) is widely regarded as the pinnacle of the outdoor showing season, with competitors travelling around the country to secure a qualifying ticket to compete at the show.
Hundreds of championship classes will take place throughout the six-day show, ranging from Miniature Horses to Heavyweight Hunters, as well as multiple Amateur and home-produced championships. The week's top winners will go forward to contest the overall honours in the Barberstown Castle Supreme Horse and the Supreme Pony Championships on the final day of the show.
One notable 2027 addition is the Cases Ltd NPS Pendley Supreme In-Hand Championship, a new competition celebrating breeding quality and excellence in-hand. It will feature qualifiers across several horse and pony breeds, with the final taking place in Hickstead's International Arena.
A number of timetable adjustments have also been made to help prevent the late finishes experienced at this year's show.
The Amateur Maxi Cob will move from Ring 5 to Ring 2, where it will precede the other BSHA Amateur Championships on Sunday 1 August. Meanwhile, the Badleybridge BSPS Young Dragonara Riders Championship will move from Ring 2 to Ring 3.
The Equine Show Pro BSPS Ridden Anglo & Part-Bred Arab Championship will change days, moving from Sunday to Saturday 31 July, while remaining in the Roger Stack Arena.
In a final schedule adjustment, hogged cobs will now be included in the Alan Marnie & Family BSPA Cob/Native/Traditional Ridden Horse Championship on Tuesday.
With an exciting new in-hand championship and several changes designed to improve the running of the show, the 2027 Agria Royal International Horse Show is already shaping up to be another highlight of the showing calendar.
